How I AI: Daniel Roth’s Dueling Agent Workflow for Building iOS Appswith Claire Vo
Daniel asks Copilot what he dropped the ball on, and it searches Outlook, Teams, and recent files for an escalation, an unsent draft, and meeting follow-ups.
A short end of day list of likely missed commitments, with enough source context to reply, schedule, delegate, or dismiss each item.
Step by step
Follow the sequence once, then adapt the prompts, checks, and handoffs to your own setup.
3 steps
Reserve the last thirty minutes of the workday for a short cleanup pass. Open Copilot in the work account that has access to Outlook, Teams, and the Microsoft 365 files used by your team.
Ask the broad question Daniel uses, then add a useful time window and output format. If the response will be shared, request anonymized people and project names in the same prompt.
What did I drop the ball on today? Search Outlook, Teams, and files updated in the last two business days. Look for direct questions I have not answered, draft replies I did not send, meeting follow-ups, promised deliverables, and escalations in projects I actively follow. Rank the likely misses by urgency, explain the evidence, and link the source. Anonymize people and project names if I share this output.
If you are sharing the output, add a line for privacy: 'anonymize any person or project names as this will be seen by people I don't work with.'
Open the cited source for each high priority item and choose the next action: reply, send the draft, schedule time, delegate, or dismiss it as complete. Handle urgent items before leaving and carry the rest into the task system you already use.
This practice shifts your mindset from starting the day overwhelmed to ending it in control.
