It actually went and asked and used the ElevenLabs MCP to come up with a voiceover. I would've loved for it to be a female voice... but Claude absolutely crushed this task. Duet crushed this task... Claude for video... these product walkthroughs, those sorts of things, I actually didn't think Claude Duet would do a good job, and it did a really good job.

Before you start

What you need

  • Product source material (e.g., feature descriptions)
  • Brand references (e.g., logos, color schemes)
  • An existing skill or template for video style
  • An explicit choice of voice for the voiceover

What you’ll make

A complete video file that includes visuals explaining the product, follows brand guidelines, and has a generated voiceover narration.

Tools used

The workflow

Follow the sequence once, then adapt the prompts, checks, and handoffs to your own setup.

4 steps

Step 01

Prepare and Provide Assets

Gather your product source material, brand guidelines, and any existing video style skills. Ensure Claude Duet has access to these assets and is connected to the ElevenLabs MCP.

Clear and concise source material is key to avoiding hallucinations or misinterpretations of your product.

Step 02

Prompt the Video Creation

Instruct Claude Duet to create the launch video, referencing the prepared assets and specifying the desired voice for the narration.

Example prompt
Make a launch video for [Product Feature] using the attached [document] and [brand guide]. Use our standard video skill and generate a voiceover with a [female American English] voice from ElevenLabs.

Being explicit about the voice choice addresses the one critique from the source material.

Step 03

Grant Permission for Voiceover

Claude Duet will likely ask for permission to use the ElevenLabs MCP to generate the voiceover. Review the request and approve it only if the tool, cost, and intended use are appropriate.

The source notes that Claude was the most 'timid' agent and asked for the most permissions, so expect this step.

Step 04

Review the Generated Video

When the agent returns a video, Evaluate it against the success criteria: Does it capture the value proposition correctly? Is the branding and layout correct? Is the voiceover acceptable?

The source praised Claude's ability to nail the value prop and avoid layout issues, so check for these specific strengths.

What good looks like

  • The video accurately communicates the product's value proposition.
  • The video incorporates the specified branding elements without layout issues.
  • A complete voiceover is generated and synced with the video.

Runbook notes

How to recover when the loop fails and where human judgment helps.

If it goes sideways

The agent produces a video with layout problems or overflowing content.
Ensure the provided video skill or template is robust. If content overflows, try simplifying the source text or breaking the video into smaller sections.
The agent invents product features or misrepresents the value proposition.
Provide clear, concise, and unambiguous source material. Manually review the script generated by the agent before it produces the final video.
The generated voiceover uses an undesired voice or accent.
Explicitly specify the desired voice in the prompt. For example: 'Use a female voice from ElevenLabs' or 'Use my cloned voice from ElevenLabs.'
