How to Draft a Sales Deck on Your Phone Using Claude Duet

Generate a draft sales presentation in Google Docs directly from your phone using Claude Duet. This workflow is ideal for business users who need to create serviceable first drafts on the go without being at a computer.

Illustrated workflow: draft a sales deck with Claude Duet, review the content, and refine the design.

I had it created deck in Google Docs... The deck wasn't bad. It was created in Google Docs and it was kicked off from my phone. I think for like the kind of everyday business person... maybe really happy to create like little sales decks off a template.

Before you start

What you need

  • A Claude account with Claude Duet enabled.
  • A connected Google account with access to Google Docs.

What you’ll make

A new Google Docs file containing a multi-slide draft of a sales presentation, accessible as an artifact in Duet and in your Google Drive.

Tools used

The workflow

Follow the sequence once, then adapt the prompts, checks, and handoffs to your own setup.

4 steps

Step 01

Initiate the Deck Creation from Your Phone

Open the Claude Duet app and ask it to create a sales deck in Google Docs. In your prompt, clearly define the structure, audience, and key message of the presentation.

Example prompt
Create a 5-slide sales deck in Google Docs for [Product/Service Name]. The audience is [Customer Profile]. The deck should include a title slide, a slide on the customer's problem, our solution, key features, and a final call to action.

Kicking off a task like this from your phone while on the go is a primary use case. You can start the work asynchronously and refine it later at your desk.

Step 02

Review the Generated Artifact

Claude Duet will work on the task and create the presentation as an artifact. This may take several minutes. Once complete, tap the artifact to open the Google Doc and review the initial draft.

The source notes that agent tasks can take 10+ minutes to complete. Since the agent may not send a notification, you may need to remember to return to the app to check on progress.

Step 03

Critically Evaluate Content and Design

Assess the draft. First, check if the text and structure align with your sales strategy. Second, evaluate the visual design. The agent will likely produce a basic, unbranded document.

Your judgment is crucial here. The source author has a high bar for design and was disappointed. Set your expectation for a functional content draft, not a polished, ready-to-present deck.

Step 04

Manually Refine the Deck

Open the Google Doc on your desktop or mobile device to make necessary edits. This will almost certainly involve applying your company's branding, adjusting layouts, and refining the copy to match your specific tone and style.

Consider this step part of the workflow. The AI generates the scaffold, and you provide the essential finishing touches and brand fidelity.

What good looks like

  • A Google Doc is successfully created.
  • The document contains a structured presentation with multiple slides as requested.
  • The content reflects the key points from the prompt.

How to recover when the loop fails and where human judgment helps.

If it goes sideways

The generated deck does not match your brand's design, fonts, or layout, even if you have a design tool like Figma connected.
Accept that the agent's output is a content draft, not a final design. Manually open the Google Doc and apply your brand's template, fonts, and colors. For future requests, be explicit about structure rather than visual style.
The content of the deck is too generic or misses key selling points.
Iterate with the agent by asking it to revise specific slides with more context, or refine your initial prompt to include more detailed bullet points, source material, or a specific audience to target.

Human checkpoints

Let routine work keep moving.

  1. You must review the generated content for factual accuracy and strategic messaging before sharing it.
  2. The visual design requires manual inspection and likely revision to ensure it meets your company's brand standards.
