Welcome back to the ChatPRD newsletter. For those of you who are new, welcome! And to those of you who have been here for a while, thanks for being here.
Sorry we've been gone for a month (!) but our new chat + GPT-5 kept us heads down getting everything in working order, and updates were on the back burner. Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback, reported bugs, and submitted feature requests... your help has made ChatPRD even better.
But we've been shipping! So let's dive in ⬇️
💬 A (stable!) new chat experience + GPT-5 update
We've been working hard on polishing our new chat experience, including:
- Better loading states and feedback around reasoning time
- Testing GPT-5 vs. our favorite current model GPT-4.1
- Improved web and file search for more context in chats
- Various bug fixes and polish improvements to the UX
While GPT-5 has been an...adventure, most of the rough edges of the new experience have been polished and the app should be humming along now! Over 20,000 chats have been done with our new chat experience--but keep them coming!
‼️ SHARED PROJECTS (finally!!!!)
This was probably the #1 feature asked for by ChatPRD teams users: you can now share projects with your teammates in ChatPRD. This means that your whole team can share context on projects and build chats/documents using the same instructions and context.
Simply click "Share Project" at the top of your project to give your full team access. Your chats will remain private (unless specifically shared) but all generated documents will be context for the project's knowledge.

🤖 Context-aware Linear Agent
Y'all have been asking and we delivered: our linear agent is now context-aware of your chats and docs in ChatPRD. Now, before taking on a task, the Linear agent will search your recent ChatPRD docs and populate the context with knowledge about exactly how you want to implement the task.
We also integrated the new Linear agent framework, so you can track ChatPRD's thinking and actions in your Linear issues, giving you more visibility into the agent's behavior.
Don't forget! Our Linear agent (available on "Teams" plans) can:
- update issue descriptions
- build out sub-issues for any project
- answer general product questions + do product work for you directly in Linear
🔌 More tools in the ChatPRD MCP
Our ChatPRD MCP now has more tools and context available wherever your favorite AI client lives. Specifically, we added more information about projects and templates!
You can now:
