Welcome to the ChatPRD newsletter. For those of you who are new, welcome (especially our new friends of Lenny)! And to those of you who have been here for a while, thanks for being here.
We skipped 2 weeks of updates which is abnormal for us, but we had a good excuse: we finally shipped that major overhaul of the chat experience, the v0 integration, and an MCP. Yeah, just that.

💬 A Whole New Chat Experience (finally!)
Three months and 25,000 lines of code later, we have finally released the new Chat experience!
Here’s what’s new and exciting:
- Faster, more reliable chat across the app. You should notice a major improvement on speed of responses and document writing.
- Web Search Tool: Pull in real-time web results directly into your chat. Research, validate, and enrich your product ideas without ever leaving ChatPRD.
- v0 Integration: build prototypes directly inline with your documents (see more info below!)
- Mobile improvements: Thread titles and navigation now display correctly, and the support widget no longer blocks your view
- Auto-resizing chat input that grows with your message...no more tiny text boxes.
- Resize doc editor and chat window so you can decide if you want to focus more on chatting or writing.
This has also laid the foundation for several upcoming features, including:
- Choose your own model
- Additional tools and integations (y'all ready to create a bunch of JIRA tickets from ChatPRD?)
- Shared projects for teams, which I know many of you are excited about.
We know there are a few rough edges and bugs to be discovered, so please keep reporting in the support chat!
🛠️ v0.dev Integration: PRD → Prototype in Minutes
To use the native v0 integration:
- Add your v0 API key to ChatPRD integration settings
- Ask the chat to "create a v0 prototype" or "update this prototype"
- Wait (kind of forever! not our fault but it's slow!)
- Enjoy your prototype--it will also be linked in your v0 account.
🔌 ChatPRD hosted MCP
Connect ChatPRD directly to your favorite dev tools—Cursor, VS Code, Claude, and more.
Our MCP lets you access, create, and update documents right from your IDE or AI client (Pro/Team/Enterprise plans only).
Setup is easy: check out the instructions in integration settings.
Google Drive & File Upload Overhaul
Google Drive uploads are back and better than ever, now running on our new file upload pipeline. All uploads (Drive or local) are faster, more reliable, and more secure—randomized filenames, strict file validation, and instant success/failure feedback. We also fixed the race conditions that caused file upload failures in new chats.
🐛 Bugs Fixed & Minor Tweaks
- Notion Export: Fixed critical export errors, added logging and smarter error messages, so exports to Notion are much more reliable. We're still working on a few edge cases so please report any issues you see.
- Thread titles and navigation: Improved display and interaction on mobile devices
- Document save reliability: Fixed issues that could prevent document changes from saving
