Step01

Configure Your AI Interview Coach

Choose the role, company, level, interview type, duration, and rubric. Load only current public or fictional context and decide what voice data may be retained.

Example prompt
It has like instructions on like what product sense questions like you need to look out for... the interview needs to clarify the company's mission and the product goals and identify specific target users and pinpoint their real pain points, and then design a solution that solve those pain points.
Step02

Set the Ground Rules for the Interviewer

Set strict interviewer behavior before switching to voice: one question at a time, neutral follow-ups, no hints, no praise during the exercise, and feedback only after the candidate finishes.

Example prompt
Act as an interviewer for a [product sense or execution] interview for [role and level] at [company]. Ask one realistic question, then neutral follow-ups based only on my answers. Do not guide me, suggest frameworks, reveal what you want, or evaluate me until I say "interview complete."
Step03

Engage in a Live Mock Interview via Voice

Run the interview out loud without reading a prepared answer. Ask for clarification when the prompt is ambiguous, structure the response, state assumptions, and reason through tradeoffs while the interviewer probes.

The voice interaction is key, as it simulates the pressure and flow of a real conversation in a way that text-based practice cannot.

Ask for and Track Feedback Over Time

After ending the interview, request feedback against the supplied rubric. Save the transcript, evidence, scorecard, and one practice target, then use a different scenario to test that target next time.

Example prompt
Interview complete. Evaluate my answer against this rubric: [rubric]. Cite specific moments from the transcript. Separate strengths, missed questions, weak reasoning, communication issues, and factual uncertainty. Give me one focused practice drill, then propose a different question that tests the same skill.

What good looks like

  • The interviewer asks one question at a time and does not hint at a preferred answer.
  • Follow-ups respond to the candidate's actual answer and probe missing reasoning.
  • Feedback cites specific moments and separates rubric observations from subjective style preferences.
  • Repeated sessions vary the prompt while tracking whether the chosen skill improves.

Tell it to ask neutral follow-ups, withhold suggestions until the end, and restart when it gives a hint.

Cross-session feedback is treated as reliable memory without a stable record
Save the transcript and a compact scorecard, then provide the relevant prior target explicitly in the next session.
