Hi Friends!

Welcome back to the ChatPRD newsletter. It's been a minute since our last update — we've been heads-down building and there's a lot to share. New ways to work with spreadsheets, a redesigned sidebar, smarter integrations, and more.

Let's jump in 🎉

📊 Spreadsheet Support

You can now upload .xlsx spreadsheets directly into ChatPRD. Drop an Excel file into your chat or attach it to a project, and the AI can read and reason about your data — sheets, headers, formulas, all of it. Google Sheets exports are handled automatically too. We've also improved CSV support across the board.

This is a big deal if you work with competitive analyses, pricing models, research data, or any structured information that lives in spreadsheets.

🧭 Redesigned Sidebar

The app sidebar got a full makeover. Instead of a flat list, you now get three clean sections: Navigation, Projects, and Chats. Your projects are front and center with their own section, and everything is easier to scan with better icons, count badges, and visual hierarchy. Finding your stuff just got a lot faster.

⚡ Smarter Integrations

If you use multiple connectors — GitHub, Notion, Linear, Amplitude, and more — ChatPRD now loads them on demand instead of all at once. This means longer, richer conversations without hitting context limits. You won't notice anything different except that things just work better, especially if you have lots of integrations enabled.

We also tidied up the chat experience: integration tool calls are now collapsed by default so your conversations stay clean. You can still expand any tool call to see the details.

🧠 Product Knowledge Graph

ChatPRD now automatically discovers which of your documents relate to each product. When you set up a product, we analyze your workspace in the background and surface relevant documents and features — building a knowledge graph that gets smarter over time. No manual tagging required.

💬 Slack Improvements

The Slack experience is noticeably better:

  • Typing indicators show you the AI is working in real time
  • Thread titles appear in Slack's History panel so you can find past conversations
  • File search and text file uploads now work in Slack threads

📝 Better Markdown Exports

Markdown export now handles tables correctly: proper columns, header rows, and formatting preserved inside cells. If you export documents to use in other tools, they'll look right.

🐛 Fixes and Improvements

  • Long chat threads load and scroll much faster
  • Improved chat and document list pagination - smoother scrolling with instant feedback when starting new chats

🎙 How I AI

This week, Hilary Gridley came back on the podcast to share how she's transformed her approach to personal productivity using Claude Code as her primary tool for managing both professional work and life admin:

Steve Kaliski demonstrates how Stripe engineers activate development work from Slack and leverage cloud-based development environments for parallel agent workflows:

Marco Casalaina demonstrates how he uses AI tools to automate administrative tasks that typically consume valuable time:

Be sure to watch these other recent eps, too:

And don't forget to check out the individual workflows.

🌟 Other Updates from the ChatPRD Universe

I had the pleasure of going on Lenny's Podcast to share my journey from OpenClaw skeptic to true believer, and give a masterclass in using AI agents in real life:

I then did a follow-up post on Lenny's Newsletter, covering everything you need from first install to running a full team of AI agents, plus the specific use cases that have changed my life:
