We've been busy making ChatPRD better at the everyday stuff: template creation and selection, building prototypes, and sharing. I've also been sharing my thoughts on the new models released this week on the podcast and doing A LOT of work with Jev.
Let's jump in 🥳
✨ AUTO mode for templates (and a better builder)
Templates got a lot of attention this month. Here are a few changes I'm excited about:
Build with a prompt. Describe the template you need and review an AI-generated outline before adding it to your draft.

Auto mode for templates. You can select your template manually, or use Auto mode to have ChatPRD pick what template is best for the job.

Prototypes are 🔥🔥🔥 (and sharable!)
ICYMI ChatPRD now generates prototypes, and our beta is currently FREE to all pro + teams users.
Since my last note, we've been improving how you take a prototype out of the chat: a standalone preview, prototype-only sharing, and a ZIP download of the code.
Personal workspaces also have a public-link option for sharing a prototype.

Product Intelligence: Early Access Group
We're finally ready to onboard our first Product Intelligence users. If you're interested in getting insights, ideas, and source-of-truth about your product (and product work!) we'd love to talk to you. Especially interested in teams who use linear, github, intercom, sentry, google workspace, slack, and granola.

🎤 My talk at Lenny and Friends Summit
My talk is out! The Last Roadmap confronts what I keep coming back to as AI makes building easier: how do we decide what’s worth building? I make the case for bigger ambitions and experiments that help us learn from real customers.

📚 Register for our course early and get $1000 off!
On October 3 and 4, Zach and I are teaching the next cohort of Executive Playbook for AI in Engineering, Product, and Design. We’ll work through the decisions that turn individual AI wins into a faster team: what to automate, how to get people using it, and what needs to change in your codebase, planning, and reviews.

Bring a real challenge from your team. You’ll get two half-days live, guest firesides, and three follow-up office hours over 90 days to help you put it into practice. Use code OCT2026 at checkout.

🎙 How I AI
Inside Warp's software factory. Zach Lloyd shows how a request in Slack becomes a tested PR, then how his team measures and improves the system. Watch this if you're figuring out what comes after giving everyone a coding agent.
My Meta Muse review. I tried a personal agent on family newsletters, goals, and buying movie tickets. A useful one for product people thinking about what makes an agent feel good to use, including where it still falls short.
🌟 Other Updates from the ChatPRD Universe
I'm back on TikTok / Instagram (thanks to the Elevenlabs MCP + codex)! Follow @chiefproductofficer, @howiaipod, and @cxodev for all my latest short-form nonsense.
I love @TypeSafe.ai Jev and I’m not afraid to admit it. Jev week coming to @howiaipod
